SRIKANT DATAR TO BECOME THE DEAN OF HARVARD BUSINESS SCHOOL

 



Boston: Srikant Datar is set to become the Dean of Harvard Business School from January 1 of the next year. Datar will succeed another Indian dean Nitin Nohria who has been the dean for the prestigious school for ten years. The Harvard University has announced on Friday that Srikant Datar would become the dean of the business school after the professor and academician has had shown excellent leadership and innovative thinker in the past and in the current coronavirus climate. Datar would become the 11th dean in the history of Harvard Business School. Larry Bacow, the current president of Harvard Business School praised Datar as a distinguished academician.

Srikanth Datar received his bachelor’s degree from Bomday University and subsequently completed his post-graduation diploma in business management from Ahmedabad IIM. He went on to receive master’s degree and Ph.D from Stanford University. He worked as a chartered accountant in the past. Datar became one of many distinguished Indians or Americans of Indian origin who are currently holding some of the highest offices in private sector in the United States.
